Mohammed is not the Prophet who will be like Moses‼️๐Ÿ™„

๐Ÿ“– Part of Our 5-Article Series on Muslim Arguments

๐Ÿ•Š️ Was Muhammad Really Prophesied in the Bible? The Truth About Deuteronomy 18 ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hello, my friends ๐Ÿ™Œ — I hope you’re doing well and ready to dive in today!
We’ve been walking through five of the most common arguments Muslims use against Christianity, and now we’ve reached the final one. I’m excited because this last topic is one of the biggest claims in Islamic apologetics — and it’s also one of the easiest to expose when you simply look at what the Bible actually says ๐Ÿ“–.

So what’s the claim?
Muslims say that Muhammad was prophesied in the Bible, specifically in Deuteronomy 18, where God tells Moses that He will raise up “a prophet like you from among your brothers.”

Now pause for a moment — because this claim instantly creates a massive contradiction. Muslims often say that the Bible is corrupted, yet they also claim that the “corrupted” Bible prophesies about Muhammad ๐Ÿค”.

So which is it? Either it’s reliable enough to prove your prophet… or it’s corrupted and cannot be trusted. You can’t have both.

This is one of the many logical and theological inconsistencies that we will uncover in this article. And we won’t do it to attack anyone, but to reveal truth in love ❤️. Because deception thrives in confusion, but truth always brings freedom (John 8:32).

Islamic scholars have long tried to use Deuteronomy 18 as a proof-text for Muhammad’s prophethood, twisting the verse to fit their narrative. But today, we’re going to open the Scriptures and see what God was really saying — and you’ll see clearly that this verse is not about Muhammad at all… but about Yeshua (Jesus), the One who fulfilled every word and promise of the Law. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ“œ Who Is the Prophet Like Moses? Why Deuteronomy 18 Can Only Point to Jesus ✝️

Let’s start by looking directly at the passage Muslims love to quote ๐Ÿ‘‡

Deuteronomy 18:15, 18
“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.”

“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.”

Muslims claim this “prophet like Moses” refers to Muhammad, saying that he came after Moses and delivered the words of God. But let’s slow down and actually read what it says.

๐Ÿ•Ž 1. “From Among Your Own Brothers”

Moses was speaking to the Israelites — the Jewish people. When God says “from among your brothers,” He means someone from within Israel, not from a different nation or tribe.

Muhammad, however, was an Arab, a descendant of Ishmael, not Isaac — meaning he was outside the covenant line through which the Messiah would come.

The Bible confirms this over and over — God’s promises of salvation were given through Isaac and Jacob, not Ishmael (Genesis 17:19–21).
๐Ÿ‘‰ So, the prophet that Moses prophesied about had to be Jewish. That alone eliminates Muhammad completely.

๐Ÿ“– 2. “A Prophet Like Me”

Now here’s where it gets deep ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
When Moses said, “a prophet like me,” he didn’t just mean “another messenger.” He meant someone who would have the same kind of ministry, power, and relationship with God that he did.
Think about it! Moses spoke with God face to face (Exodus 33:11). He worked mighty miracles, delivered the people from bondage, and was a mediator between God and man.

Who else fits that description?
Only Jesus (Yeshua).

Jesus didn’t just bring words from God — He was the Word made flesh (John 1:14). He spoke face to face with the Father. He performed miracles greater than Moses, delivered humanity from sin and death, and established a new covenant sealed with His own blood. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’”➡️❤️‍๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ“š 3. “I Will Put My Words in His Mouth”

Muslims try to claim that this refers to Muhammad reciting the Quran — but the text says that God Himself will put His words in the prophet’s mouth.
In the New Testament, this is perfectly fulfilled in Jesus, who said:

“The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in Me does His works.” (John 14:10)

Jesus perfectly spoke what the Father commanded — not through dictation like a servant, but through divine union as the Son.

Muhammad, on the other hand, admitted several times that he didn’t know the purpose of life and even questioned his revelations — a clear contradiction to a true prophet of God who walks in constant communion with the Father.

✨ 4. Confirmed in the New Testament

The apostle Peter makes this unmistakably clear in Acts 3:18–26, where he quotes Deuteronomy 18 and applies it directly to Jesus:

“Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers; you shall listen to Him in whatever He tells you.’” (Acts 3:22)

Then Peter goes on to say that this prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the servant God raised up to bless Israel and the world ๐ŸŒ.

So, according to Scripture itself, not Christian interpretation, but the Bible’s own words, the “prophet like Moses” is Yeshua (Jesus), not Muhammad.

๐Ÿงฌ A Spiritual DNA Match — Moses & Jesus in Perfect Parallel ✝️

When Moses said, “The Lord will raise up for you a prophet like me,” he wasn’t just talking about someone who would speak for God — he was pointing to someone who would mirror his very ministry, carry the same anointing, and fulfill the same divine patterns.

When you compare the life and works of Moses and Jesus, you see a spiritual DNA match that no one else — not Muhammad, not any other prophet — can claim. ๐Ÿ‘‡

⚖️ Was Muhammad Really a Prophet of God? What the Quran and Hadith Actually Say ๐Ÿ“–

If Muhammad was the prophet like Moses, he should’ve performed mighty signs, revealed God’s presence, and demonstrated power over creation. Yet Islam’s own texts tell another story.

❌ The Quran Says Muhammad Worked No Miracles

Surah Al-Isra (17:90–93) — “They say, ‘We will not believe you until you make a spring gush forth...’ Say, ‘Glory be to my Lord! Am I anything but a man, a messenger?’”

Surah Al-Ankabut (29:50–51) — “They say, ‘Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?’ Say, ‘The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner.’”

Muhammad’s only “sign” was his message — not miracles, not power, not authority.

๐Ÿ“š The Hadith Tries to Fill the Gap

Later traditions try to fix this — stories like the moon splitting or water flowing from his fingers — but these directly contradict the Quran’s claim that no miracles were given.

That’s a contradiction inside Islam itself. ⚠️

๐Ÿ•ท️ Muhammad, Witchcraft, and the Power of Darkness: What the Quran and Hadith Admit ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿงฉ The “Satanic Verses”

Surah Al-Hajj (22:52) — Satan threw his words into Muhammad’s recitation.

Early Muslim historians like Ibn Ishaq and Al-Tabari record how Satan deceived Muhammad into speaking verses praising pagan goddesses — later retracted when Muhammad realized the deception.

Jesus, on the other hand, silenced Satan instantly (Matthew 4:1–11).

๐Ÿ”ฎ Bewitched by a Sorcerer

Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, Book 75, Hadith 400 — “A man bewitched Allah’s Messenger until he imagined that he had done a thing when in fact he had not.”

Sahih Muslim, Book 26, Hadith 5428 — “A spell was cast on the Messenger of Allah, and he fell ill until Gabriel came to heal him.”

The “prophet” was powerless against witchcraft — delusional until rescued.

Jesus never needed rescue — He is Deliverance. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿ™ From Lies to Light: The Gospel Invitation for Muslims and the Call to Equip the Church ๐ŸŒ

The contrast is undeniable. Muhammad lacked power, but Jesus demonstrated divine authority — healing, forgiving, raising, restoring.

❤️ To My Muslim Friends

God loves you deeply. He sent His Son not to enslave you, but to set you free (John 8:36).
He is not distant — He came near. He died and rose for you.

Pray sincerely:

“Lord, reveal Yourself to me.”

He will. Jesus said, “Everyone who seeks finds.” (Matthew 7:8)

⚔️ To My Fellow Christians

Now is not the time for silence. It’s time to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to shine the light of Christ into deception.

Equip yourself. Study. Love Muslims enough to tell them the truth.

They are not your enemies — they are your mission field. ๐ŸŒ

✨ Final Word

Truth doesn’t fear investigation. And when you search deeply, you’ll find only One who fits every prophecy and conquers every power of darkness — Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

Shalom and be blessed.
