The Truth About Muhammad in Islam: Are You Really Only Praying to God? 👀

💥 Do Muslims Really Only Submit to Allah? The Truth Revealed 🔥

What’s up everybody — we’re back with another article! 🙌
We’ve been tackling 5 common arguments from Islam, and so far, we’ve already addressed three. I’ve been praying and thinking deeply about number 4 — and finally, the Holy Spirit gave me clarity.

Muslims often say to Christians:

“We don’t worship or glorify a man — we only worship God.”

But today, we’re going to show that this isn’t true according to their own sources.

A true Muslim is defined as one who submits to Allah — but the Qur’an and Hadith make it clear: you must also submit to Muhammad.
So here’s the question: if Islam is only about submission to Allah, why is Muhammad so necessary to your salvation? 🤔 Let’s dive in.

⚖️ Submission to Allah… and Muhammad?

Let’s start with one of the clearest verses from the Qur’an:

“But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you [O Muhammad] judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.”
(Qur’an 4:65)

Wait — submission to Allah or submission to Muhammad?
This verse makes it clear: true belief requires submission to Muhammad.

What does this sound like?
It’s a distortion of Yeshua’s own teaching — that if you believe in Him, you believe in the One who sent Him (John 12:44–45).

But here’s the difference:

  • Yeshua is one with the Father — divine in nature.

  • Muhammad was a man who claimed that obedience to him equals obedience to God.

The Qur’an reinforces this:

“He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away – We have not sent you over them as a guardian.”
(Qur’an 4:80)

And Muhammad himself said:

“Whoever obeys me has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah; and whoever obeys the leader I appoint has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys him has disobeyed me.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 89, Hadith 251; Sahih Muslim, Book 33, Hadith 1835)

✅ This is clear: obedience to Muhammad = obedience to Allah.
That’s not submission to God alone — that’s shared submission.

🚫 Muhammad’s Words and Salvation

Muhammad himself clarified the stakes for salvation:

“All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.”
They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who would refuse?”
He said, “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.”
(Tirmidhi 2663; also Bukhari 7280)

Here’s the simple breakdown:

StatementMeaning
Obeying Muhammad= Obeying Allah
Disobeying Muhammad= Disobeying Allah
Salvation= Submission to Muhammad’s authority

This is not just guidance — it’s a requirement for being a true Muslim. Submission in Islam is not to Allah alone, but to both Allah and Muhammad.

Unlike Yeshua, who calls for obedience because of His divine union with the Father, Muhammad’s authority is human and fallible.

🙏 Muslims Pray to Muhammad (Yes, Really)

Now, I hear Muslims say:

“Why would Christians pray to Yeshua? He was just a man! We only pray to God.”

Umm… that’s not true. Muslims pray to Muhammad every day.

Even if they claim it’s just “blessing” him, the truth is — he’s dead. He cannot hear or do anything. The Bible is clear:

“The dead know nothing… they have no more reward… never again will they have a share in anything that happens under the sun.”
(Ecclesiastes 9:5–6)

And yet, here’s the daily prayer of a Muslim:

At-tahiyyātu lillāhi was-salawātu wat-tayyibāt.
As-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuhā an-nabī wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh.
As-salāmu ʿalaynā wa ʿalā ʿibādillāhi aṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāh, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh.

Translation:

“All greetings, prayers, and pure words are for Allah.
Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.”

Notice the contradiction? 👀

  • First it says all blessings are for Allah

  • Then immediately: peace be upon Muhammad

So in practice, they’re praying to a dead man — giving him honor reserved for God alone.

Even Islamic scholars acknowledge this:

  • 🟢 Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: “After the Prophet’s death, the Companions continued saying ‘As-salamu ʿalayka ayyuhā an-nabī’, because this salutation is not limited to his lifetime; it reaches him even now.”

  • 🟢 Imam Nawawi: “This salutation is established for all time; the Prophet hears the greetings of his followers.”

But the Bible says: dead men cannot intercede.
We Christians pray to Yeshua (Jesus) because He is alive, God the Son, and intercedes for us. ✝️🔥

✝️ Only Yeshua Could Intercede

Let’s look at Isaiah 59:

“He saw that there was no man—He was amazed that there was no one interceding; so His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness supported Him.”
(Isaiah 59:16)

God searched for someone worthy to intercede for humanity — none were found.
Not Abraham. Not Moses. Not David. Certainly not Muhammad.

So God acted Himself. He became man — Yeshua — to pay the debt of sin once and for all.

When Yeshua was on the cross, He declared:

“It is finished.”

Literally meaning: “Paid in Full.”
His life, death, and resurrection prove that salvation belongs to God alone, not to a prophet or human messenger.

This is why Christians pray to Yeshua:

  • He is alive, not dead like Muhammad.

  • He is God, fully divine and fully human.

  • He alone is the eternal intercessor who reconciles us to the Father.

Contrast that with Islam: Muslims pray to Muhammad as part of ritual prayers, even though he is dead and cannot act or intercede. Christianity offers freedom, life, and peace through a living Savior.
